Nightfall: Chapter 2

Tell me what you know, please. I'd rather this not get ugly.

"Neither would I. I know nothing."
She twirled the pistols two or three times, ready to snap them up and fire.

(Dimitri)

=I nod, looking towards Anton=

Anton: Damire knows when not to meddle in Nick's affairs, and same goes with Nick. He has a base level of respect for Damire, from the limited conversations I've had with Damire. Nick doesn't harm Damire due to the simple fact that Damire's influence is just as powerful as his own. It keeps Nick in check from time to time.

=I nod for him to continue=

Anton: So, yes, Damire could seriously threaten Nick's position of power.

(Damire)

=My eyes narrow as I keep patient=

-I'll give the Nightbane some credit...she can handle herself. I can smell a bit of fear on him.

=I grin in anticipation=

-Right now...it's merely a standoff-

=i look at her guns=
It would take far more than you have to kill me. If you are worried about someone else getting harmed, I will only fight Veni, should it come to that. I simply wish to know where she is and nothing more.

"Shit happens. I'm not letting you near Tria. End of Story. End of Discussion. Now kindly fuck off before I open fire, and go ahead, get close. The sword here is not just a toy."
Dawn scowled, tightening her grip on the guns.

A sword is overcompensating. A knife is true handyman's work. Now, please, before I need to do some work, tell me where she is. You have my word I won't harm this, Tria.

"I see. Perfect." I write down these last few notes, and stand up, smiling.
"I thank you both for your time. I hope this wasn't too much of an interruption." I walk to the door, and stop midstep, and turn.
"If you two intend to survive in this city, I suggest you prepare for war."

She sighed, lowering her guns. "Just keep walking. She'll find you."
Dawn gave him a wide berth and headed down the street for her motorcycle.

=i watched the Nightbane leave, who decided to just leave, and sighed. I ignored Nick for the time being, and just started walking again, not even paying attention to where I was going=

(Dimitri)

=I nod=

Anton: (Whispering) He seems like the type to have a grudge against Nick.

(Whispering)You know the saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend..."

=Anton sighs=

Anton: (Whispering) Yes, but for how long?

=I beckon Anton to his car=

Come...we have work to do.

Anton: That we do.

=We get in the car and head out to prepare for a war=

=I growl=

=i stop and look around as casually as I can=
Can you hear me?

I leave the apartment blocks, standing on the side of the street, looking upwards. The sun was going down. I couldn't be out for too long.
I began to move out, wondering how far the presence of Knights stranglehold reached. If he ran this entire city... I'd have a much harder time. I pull out my notebook, reading a few of my notes.

"The werewolf Damire. I need to ally with a Wolf... This is incomparably tedious."

(Dimitri)

=I look and spot a motorcycle head out=

Ahh...Nick's little pet has been let off it's leash...glorious...

Anton, let's have a little chat with her, see what she knows...

Anton: You read my mind Dimitri.

=Anton guns the engine as the car catches up with the motorcycle=

Come here little one...we just want a chat

(Damire)

=I growl again=

Dawn frowned, ignoring the car. She guns the engine, heading for the per-determined rendezvous at Central Park with Max.
"Who are these clowns?"

We? Are there...nevermind. Have you seen a woman with silver lines on her face? I'm looking to talk with her.

=i kept watching Damire=
-Damire, what is going on.-

I quickly make my way down the street, and note a car and motorbik converging.
And it didn't take a skilled Vampire to sense each of the monsters. Slowing down to a near halt, Soren stuck close. He recognized the presence of those two he'd spoken too not long ago.
"Where in all of Sheol are you two going..."
He begins to move with the crowds, staying near enough that he can follow them.

(Dimitri)

=I look at Anton=

Get alongside her!

Anton: HOLD ON.

=Anton pushes the car's engine, bringing the car alongside the motorcycle on my side as I unbuckle my seat belt. I jump and send her flying off the seat=

(Damire)

=I look to Veni=

-Look's like your fiancee wants a word with you.-

=I turn back to Seln=

-She's right where I am...so come here at your own risk.-

Dawn was thrown from her motorcycle, which skidded off into an alleyway. Dawn hit the ground and bounced, rolling until she hit a wall. Painfully.
"Ahh...what the fuck..." She struggled to her feet, drawing her pistols. "Who the fuck..."

And where are you?

-Don't. Ever. Mention that. Again. Damire-

=i was all but shaking in rage=

I stopped fully, as did anyone watching. These guys sure new how to be SUBTLE.
I moved to the front of the crowd as it began to disperse, watching the events that were unfolding. I gripped my dagger, prepared for anything that might happen. I didn't know how this girl was, but I wasn't letting my only two leads die here. Hopefully they could handle themselves.

Tria appeared between Damire and Veni.
"What's up?" She asked nonchalantly, munching a cookie.

=i looked at Tria, and tried to stuff some anger down=
Nothing Tria, just keeping an eye on an old friend.

=if I had known I was shaking, I'm sure I would've done something to hide it=

(Dimitri)

=I then get back onto my feet and sprint at her full tilt, pinning her against the wall, I look to see Anton stop the car, open the door and sprint to my position=

I wouldn't do that if I were you...unless you'd like to live.

(Damire)

=I grin at the anger...oh how it felt good to act like a politician once in a while=

-Understood.-

=I turn to Seln=

-Just head further in...You'll find what you've been looking for.-

Dawn struggles.
"Fucking Vampires! I'm not turning into one of you! Let me go NOW!" She screamed at them, trying to aim.
But he was strong.
She relied on speed...speed she didn't have.
I'm not like Max in close range combat...
"I'm not being taken prisoner you bastards!" She said, struggling harder.
