Nightfall: Chapter 4

Dawn dug in without further ado, her jetblack hair spilling over one shoulder.

(Sofia)

=I smile, digging into my sandwich as well, my auburn hair spilling into my face=

High time I at least trim it...

=I brush the few strands of hair back over my shoulder and continue enjoying my homemade sandwich=

Finishing her sandwhich, Dawn pushed the plate away.
"So...this it? Or did you have more plans?"

(Sofia)

=I stop and swallow, blinking twice=

That is a good question...

=I shrug=

I really didn't have anything planned on doing tonight, honestly.

Dawn leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table as she supported her head with her hands.
"So. I guess soon we"ll go our seperate ways?" She asked.

(Sofia)

=I sigh=

I guess so...

=I twirl my hair a bit nervously=

Unless...you know of a pack that I could join.

"I do. But a one night stand isn't going to exactly get me to waltz you into their midst. It still is very dangerous." She sighed. "And part of me wants to stick around here a bit longer." She grinned.

(Sofia)

=I grin=

If they're anything like my old pack, then I probably should take note of that statement.

=I smile=

And feel free to stick around. It's a real pleasure having you around.

"Mostly for me. I am a Nightbane." She smiled. "I'll...be in your bed then."
With that, she got up and went back to the bedroom.

That's understandable. I'll be there shortly.

=I winked at Dawn, and then began humming a tune as I picked up the dishes and cleaned them=

Perfect...I feel like part of a family again...it's been so long...

=I then put away the dishes in the dishwasher, smiling as I did so=

Dawn slipped into bed, resting in the middle.
"What the fuck am I doing?" She asked herself quietly.

=I finish up with the dishes and my mind wanders a bit=

Hmm...wonder what this pack will be like...?

=I feel a burst of happiness at some of the thoughts dancing in my head=

Well...let's wait and see what happens...might as well check on Dawn

=I head out of the kitchen, satisfied I was thorough with cleaning and head to my bed room to check up on her=

Dawn was staring at the cieling, arms spread out to either side of her. She was obviously deep in thought.

=I stroll into the bedroom to find Dawn laying down on the bed, spread eagle=

So tempting...

=I resist the temptation and find a chair, sitting down and then humming a tune Anton taught me as a child=

He did something right, teaching me the joy of music..

"Nice song." Dawn said, not moving. "It's...pretty, I guess "

=i was organizing my clothes in my safehouse. I shot Nick a message, letting him know what I was doing with the newborn and such. Speaking of whom, Alodie was currently in the living room, thinking or doing something. I don't know. I was just figuring out which articles of clothing I wanted to take to my house and which ones I wanted to keep here. I sighed, as I thought about the future, a suddenly deep thought hitting me. But I pushed it away and went back to work=

=I sigh=

It's nothing special. Anton used to hum it to me as a child to make me happy.

=I look to Dawn=

You don't sound well. Something on your mind?

=I brace for a scathing remark=

I don't mean to pry.

"Wondering how I ended up lying here craving some more sex from a werwolf who's father helped to torture me." She said bluntly. "No offence."

=I smile=

None taken, of course.

Well...my father's past is pretty sketchy, for how long I've known him...I've done worse...

And it's okay...I'm here to help.

I was walking down the streets, thinking. I had gotten into contact with the Silver Hand in New Orleans and left someone else in charge while I was gone. I sigh and sit on a bench.

Dawn smiled.
"Thanks Sofie."
She fell sikent again, just lying there. Relaxed. Feeling safe.

Like I said...no problem.

Another one of dad's lessons...'Help out in anyway you can, but never sacrifice your principles for it'...

"You can join me if you like. I can move." Dawn said.

=I sit on the bed, and then move next her=

I'll take that offer.

Dawn made room, grinning. "I'm that hard to resist?"
