Nightfall: Chapter 3

"It could be, depends on how you look at it."

"Bad sides are that you don't feel as comfortable in the morning."

"I feel pretty good this morning."

I roll over and pull Corner into a kiss, then wrap my arms around him.

I break away, smiling slightly.

"I'll bet."

I smile back and look him in the eyes.

"So what does this mean... for us?"

Damire. The rich wolf boy. A very possible ally... but who might he have already had connections with? Someone of his supposed importance would be a key target, and getting him to turn on a man who intended to let him run the world was... unlikely.
"Damire. Werewolf. Lovely." I fold my arms and stand still, watching him. I could already tell this was probably gonna go just like my meeting with Nick Knight.

(Damire)

=I silently look to Anton, who just shrugs=

Guess that answers my question...

=I then see the other one behind him=

Vampire...so that's the other one I smelled...

=I merely smile=

And who might you be, young vampire?

"I'm no one important enough to acknowledge. Not yet." I say sternly, not even blinking as I stare sharply at the wolf. He held himself at least. That was respectable, for a mutt.

"I don't know. What do you think?"

Of course I knew, but there was this thing, this feeling, that told me not to tell her that. Let her choose on her own.

(Damire)

=I merely nod, noting his demeanor=

Very well then.

=I relax my expression a bit=

Mind if I come in?

(Anton)

=I shrug=

I don't see why not?

=I look to the others=

Unless there are any objections.

I shake my head, and walk over to the living room, standing near the window. I didn't care either way. Information was always good, but not being near a wolf was good too.
"I'm fine either way. Not my house, in any case."

(S)
=i glare at Damire=
Werewolf. In a vampire's home. You do not leave the living room, for any purpose, until I say so.

=i pull out a neck knife, not yet snapping it off the chain=
Got it?

(Damire)

=I nod, a mocking grin on my face=

Fair enough.

=I walk in, a smug look on my face=

(S)
=i close the door behind him and smack him across the back of his head=
Stop looking like you won the lottery.

I blink, surprised at the sudden strike, as I lean up a little.
"Hey now, no need for violence." I say, almost worriedly. There'd be no point in killing him, not here.

(Damire)

=I turn my head and glare pointedly=

Ah...do you not remember me, dear Seln?

=I grin at him=

And don't worry about me young one, I can handle myself.

(S)
=i look at Soren=
It's not violence, it's a threat.

=to Damire=
Other than from that tme at the warehouse, nope.

(Damire)

=I cock an eyebrow, but drop the point=

Well, at least you remember that much.

=I walk in and sit on the couch=

I watch the two keenly, not moving from my point as the wolf sits down. Why was he here? What purpose did he have for coming? Was it for Anton, or Seln? Or was it as I predicted, was he an associate with Nick and after me? No, that didn't make sense, Nick wouldn't hunt me down yet. I was no threat.

In Antons car... Selns home... he knew them both...

I listened in, sort of. But I gathered I'd be told about it later anyway, so I just relaxed, still sitting on the bed.

(Damire)

=I looked around, seeing all the people here=

Well...this is much like Anton and I met back in 1810...ah, good times...

=I look to Anton, who's more than a bit surprised=

(Anton)

Okay...let me ask you this...why are you here?

=I knew that was on my mind from the moment he came here in my car=

(Damire)

=I rub my chin=

And I know there is another vampire in this house, and a newborn one at that.

=I smile=

If they are listening in, I would very much like to tell them this news personally.

You aren't going anywhere near the newborn. She can hea you, so speak.

"I think.. I would like to try us being a couple.."

I look into his eyes.

"If thats ok with you.."

(Damire)

=I glare at Seln, insulted=

I would never violate my word.

=I smile=

And besides, I'd never harm someone from my bloodline.

I look at Damire, almost petrified. I still didn't know his motives with Nick, but if he was working with the bastard, and he was indeed related to the girl... Then Seln would be in a perfect position to join them both against me.
I step forward, looking at the trio as the speeches continue.
