Yes, but they are stronger. Listen, how many heartbeats do you hear?

He was right. I could hear several faint, very faint heartbeats.

"3.. 4ish?"

I held off the new pack for now.

That is correct. Before today, how many could you hear just walking around?

I shook my head.

"None, except for mine if it was beating loudly."

That's good...it means your hearing has gotten stronger.

=I then feel something that I haven't in centuries...contentment=

Now, inhale deeply with your nose. This room has packages from all over the city. Tell me what you can smell.

"Spices, meats... Chocolate?" There was lots of smells, and in all honesty, smelling had never been my greatest sense. There was just horrible smells. Like a sort of fishy smell. That was a horrible kind of smell.

I looked down at my hands, noting the dried blood on them, guessing there would be some on my neck too.

I decided to ask something, as well, why not?

"Could... Urm... I go and have a shower, or a wash?"

I asked for two reasons. One, I had bits of dried blood over me. Two, I needed some time to think, on my own.

Dawn was asleep, her heart beating slowly but strongly. The scars twinged a bit, her cheek throbbing a bit more.
She didn't really dream.
Not this time.

Yeah, just right over there. Sorry, there's...uh...no hot water. I got tired of wasting the money.

OH, and you don't have a change of clothes. Uhm...shit. I'll hunt around for something about your size.

=i waited for her to head out before going into the main room to look for clothes. I made some noise, hunting around the second home for clothes, but that was unavoidable thinks to the number of objects around=

Dawn rolled off the bed and groaned.
"What the fuck is going on?" She said. "I was having a nice nap."

Hunting for clothes for the newborn. Sorry to disturb. What were you dreaming about?

"Nothing. I wasn't dreaming. And I wish I was." She didn't bother getting up. She just laid on the floor, sighing. "Need any help, or can I continue with my nap?"

If you could help try to find something that's about the size of our new guest, that would be appreciated. Plus, I could enjoy the company.

"Cute." She said, getting up to help Seln. "Hunting clothes for a Vampire. Fuck me and my heart. Max always said my heart is the only reason he fears me." She sighed, stretching.

=i go back to looking for clothes. I had a bunch all over the place from the many instances where I...entertained a female guest. I didn't do much past the expected activities, just trance them so they forget and then sent them on their way. But needless to say, there were a lot of extra clothes all over the place=

A heart is a good thing, it keeps you human.

"I know. I kept mine when I became a Nightbane; it helps, when you have a tolerance to Vampire bites. Hence why I was willing to let her drink...didn't know if we'd make it...and everyone deserves a chance at life, until they go and torture and attempt to brutally rape. Then they deserve death."

Dawn's face remained a slight scowl as she looked around. She wasn't really caring about information; getting it out now would help her n the long run.

For what my opinion is worth, I hope the bastard/bitch who did that get's rejected in afterlife.

"If my brother wasn't so honorable, you'd be hearing on the news how the US Military just razed an entire apartment structure due to terrorists."
She stood, wincing in pain. "He'll get his dues, don't worry."

I'm sure he will. If we are ever in the same company and you see him, point him out. I was raised with chivalry, after all.

=i find a pair of pants behind one of the chairs that seemed like the right size, and grab them=

"Fun. Didn't seem like it, honestly." She shook her head. "Here. Found an oversized shirt. These tend to be more comfortable." Dawn throws it over.
