Nightfall: Chapter 4

"Today's your lucky day!... Just kidding I'm going to fuck you up."

I bring my elbow down on her nose.

Dawn cried out as she felt it break. "I didn't do anything!" She shouted.

(L)

"Bullshit. You pissed me off."

I shove a rag in mouth then attach two jacks, from a car battery, to screws tied to her hands. I flip a switch that opens the channel, sending bolts of electricity through her body.

Dawn screamed into the gag, tears welling. She thrashed as the elctricty coursed through her body.

(L)

I turn it off and remove the gag.

"Can I get a fuck you from everyone having fun the club tonight?"

"FUCK YOU!" Dawn screamed.
Then she snapped.
"I HAVE BEEN TORTURED, ALMOST RAPED, AND ALMOSTED KILLED. I AM NOT TAKING THIS SHIT ANYMORE. YOU RELEASE ME RIGHT NOW BEFORE I BREAK FREE AND STRANGLE YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS."
Dawn's chest was heaving, her entire body radiating pure rage.

"Glad to hear you're having fun! How about another round?"

I shove the rag back in her mouth and turn the circuit back on.

Dawn thrashed, now crying. The pain was insane.
She screwed her eyes shut, wanting it to end.

I checked my weapons, and snorted. Stupid orginization. Why kill vampires and werewolves? I guess that's just another stupid tradition.

I turn it off again, and pull out the gag.

"You want to move on to the next event?"

I walk over to a little furnace an pull out a red hot sword.

"Just tell me what you want to do."

Dawn went limp. "Please don't. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry! I won't say it again!"
She now felt some fear. Dimitri used knives. This woman used worse.
Far worse.

Soren sat in the reclining seat, smiling. Cushioned, sating, it was lovely. Francis was a lucky man, he had the skill to make money for these things. The shag carpet felt amazing under his feet as he gently sipped the chocolate drink. Soren could smell the chocolate, which was more than most other drinks offered someone like him.

"You know Francis..." He looked over at Soren, blinking. "Hmm?"
"We're quite lucky. Knowing this place, there's probably someone being, I don't know, tortured right now." Francis laughed heartily, scratching his chin.
"Well whoever it is probably deserves it. This city is at least good at making sure people get what they deserve."

I'd sat down on the couch, just looking around. I felt... Tired. Lots of other things. But I was tired. So I felt myself falling asleep, and well... Well, I found myself falling asleep.

"shh... don't cry...Scream."

I stab the sword through her stomach, twisting it. I pull it out before the heat kills any organs.

=I reach the bar, and turn off the car's engine=

Something's not right...something's off, way off...

=I close my eyes and listen for anything amiss. I then hear some faint sounds coming a few blocks away=

Only one way to find out...

=I turn the car around, looking for any clues=

Dawn screamed, and when the sword was withdrawn, she just cried.

"dont worry I'll heal you... just a heads up it hurts like heal!"

I place my hand I've the wound and let my magic seep in, stretching the muscles and stitching them together. Dead cells died and were replaced, and skin pulled overthe wound closing it without a trace.

Dawn whimpered.
"I'm sorry. Please, I'm sorry." She said. "Don't do this to me. Dimitri already has me scarred. Please let me go."
Her cheek was easier to see now, the Slavic symbol for Fallen carved there.

I pause.

"Dimitri? The guy Anton sent me to kill.."

Dawn nodded, her chest heaving as she tried to recover. "Yes. That guys. He did this...he did more..." She started crying. "He almost violated me."
She sobbed. "Please. I didn't mean to insult you. I'm sorry."

Well this is oddly ironic...

I sit down in a chair next to the table, My mind starting to sober up.

Dawn panted, looking at her. She didn't speak, scared the torture would resume...
"Please ma'am. You don't have to do this...wh...why would you do this? Y..you d-didnt s-seem like Dimitri."

I give her a glare.

"Its how I was raised. What my mother taught me to do."

My eyes get blurry, I rub them and find the wetness of tears.

"I don't have a choice.."

"Everyone has a choice ma'am...everyone. You can choose to abandon the teachings of your parents. You always have a choice. Only you can take that choice away."

"Not me.."

I flick on the circuit again and Listen to her scream. Memory popped up in my head, Big Momma killing my pet bunny, then the boy I liked. Me playing all alone, cause no one was my friend. Big Momma leaving me out in the middle of a Swamp filled with gators..

I didn't have a choice then... but I did now... I flick off the battery and turn away.
