=i sigh=
I'm sorry for what I did. I didn't want to, but if they were left unaware, they would ask questions, they would try to find you, create waves in this relatively tranquil pond. They could draw the attention of the Nightbane, and possibly be brought in for questioning and interrogation, all to find out where you were and what you had become. Right now is not the greatest opportunity to be turned, as the Nightbane, the hunters of what we are, have gathered in this city en masse. And chance left open, and any loose ends, are a risk.

Dawn blinked, utteely confused.
"Ok." She managed.
She then went over and helped Anton up. "Ex girlfriend from ten centuries ago?"

(Anton)

=I shake my head=

No...not that.

=I still feel my face redden a bit=

That was my daughter, who I haven't seen since she was six.

(Sofia)

=I smile as I walk away=

That was easy...bating her like that...

=I head down the street=

Now...for Wakefield...that bitch nearly had me killed...

I spot a little coffee cafe and take a seat outside. I order a cup of coffee, to look normal, and ask newspaper to catch up on events. I sit there flipping through the pages, but keeping a eye out for trouble.

(Sofia)

=i continue to wander about, looking for any face that might remind me of Claire=

You can't be that hard to find...plus I remember how you last looked at me...you bitch...

=I head to another cafe, more to get a drink than anything. I spot a familiar figure=

Ahhh...so we meet again...and how the tables have turned...

=I wander towards the cafe, my stride casual as men around me look at me with slack jawed stares. I smile and wink at one of them, and watch him drop to the ground=

Men...they never change...

"Oh." Was all Dawn could say. "Should...I take my leave?"

I look over the rim of my paper as a woman walks up towards me, strutting like she owns the place. I give her a deadpan stare and take a drink of my coffee, not even flinching as it goes down.

..Oh great a hooker...

I go back to my paper, reading the comics.

(Anton)

=I sigh=

I'll go find Seln

=I get up from the table=

Go ahead and do what you need.

(Sofia)

=I meet her eyes for a second=

That bitch doesn't recognize me...glorious...

=I find a table nearby her=

I'm surprised you didn't recognize me...

My eyes flicker up to her then back to my newspaper.

"Then I'm guessing we weren't on good terms. I only remember people that have effects on my life, and hate isn't one of them."

I turn the page.

"But your face brings up unwanted memories.."

=I huff=

Damn right, it shouldn't...

=I take a breath=

Because the last time you saw it, you had me on my deathbed...

=I slip my hand close to my dagger=

And want to return the favor. With interest.

My face breaks into a frown before going back to normal.

"So your plan is to kill me in a public Cafe in one of the most crowded places in America?"

I fold up my paper and place it on the table.

"You aren't a bright one, are you?"

(Sofia)

=I look to Claire with disdain=

Goodness no... I'm not THAT dumb.

=I give an irritated sigh=

You know, your father contacted me the other day.

(Anton)

=I run, catching up to Seln=

Well...I see my timing is impeccable...

=I then saddle up beside him=

I frown, then pull out a pen and start on the crossword.

"Oh really? How is Marshal, I haven't heard hide nor tail of him."

(Sofia)

He says he's been doing well, no thanks to you.

=I sigh=

He's still not happy about what you did all those years ago.

I begin to tense up, then relax myself.

"Me and my father left on relevantly good terms considering what he did to me and mother.. I proved I'm the better person by forgiving and moving on."

I shake the pen lightly to stir up some ink.

"Unlike you, and you father.. If I do recall."

I fill in a word.

"My Intel on you showed some pretty hard feelings."

(Sofia)

=I huff=

Hard feelings...what a lovely understatement. I lost a mother thanks to what he did, so I'd be understandably bitter about it.

=I sigh once again=

But other than that, your intel is spot on.

Sighing, Dawn went out, threw herself over her bike, and roared off.

I continue working on my crossword, and slightly grin.

"We are exactly alike, you and I. Both lost our mothers due to our fathers, then made rash decisions because of it... You just Haven't learned to forgive.."

(Sofia)

That's true...

=I sigh=

And I blame my mother for my hatred in some part.

=I smile weakly=

You're right, I need to move on...I learned his entire reasoning, so I should let go. Probably healthier for me to.

I pause for a moment.

"Where is my father anyways?"

I wave to my friend as the door opens and he steps out. We head into the hanger and he places his silver case on the table, opening it up. I check through the contents.

This should be more than enough. My thanks.

=I rub my chin a bit=

"Well it was nice seeing you Sofia, I hope things get better between you and your dad."

=I blow a kiss to a passing teenage boy, giggling when he falls to his knees. I leave, a continual swarm of men staring at me, girlfriends staring at me in jealousy=

No matter the century...things never change...

Dawn blinks, then sighs.
She rolled up to the curb.
"Sofie, you do know that's just cruel, right?"
