Nightfall: Chapter 4

=i made it out of the alleyway, the bike making the loudest roar it could as I bounced across road, weaving through traffic. I slowed and made a turn, continuing to weave through traffic, all in the name of getting away from the people shooting at me. I slowed my speed, making a few more turns where I could, never stopping or slowing any more than I had to. My heart beat was fast, but slowing, not until I parked in a parking lot and stopped for a few minutes=
Dafuq was that?

=i wondered that out loud, hoping that by giving voice to my thoughts, I could clear them up. I made a mental list, closing my eyes to try and figure things out=
That was a hit squad, but it didn't seem like it was Nick. Nick would've done it himself, and without failing. Was it someone else? A rival gang runner? A gang in general?

=it occurred to me that I wasn't paying attention to the weapons they were using or what kind of vehicle it was, so I had no idea if they were part of a gang or not. I cursed at myself again and set off, keeping another eye out for anyone trying to shoot at me, heading for my safehouse=

"Pick up pizza and go back to your place? I might even buy the pizza." She giggled.

(Sofia)

=I smile a bit=

I'd be fine with that...as long as it has some meat on it.

=I grin=

You know how peckish we werewolves are. Could you pick me up, because I don't have a ride.

=I blush a bit=

"Promise you won't grope me? I'm on my motorcycle." She laughed. "Where are you?"

=I chuckle=

I give you my word.

=I look around=

Well...I'm just outside the meatpacking district, at an old butcher's shop.

Dawn sped up. "Ten minutes."

Nine minutes later Dawn pued up outside .

(Sofia)

=I nod=

I'll be waiting...

=Nine minutes later, I spot an all too familiar motorcycle and walk up to her=

Ah...my chariot has arrived.

=I say this with a playful grin=

Dawn grinned. "Hop on. Ha ds on my stomach. If they go higher or lower before dessert you lose dessert. Got it?"

(Sofia)

=I hop on, giggling a bit=

Yes, ma'am

=I say this with a smile. I couldn't be mad at her at all, putting my hands around her stomach=

Dawn revved the engine and roared off. "I called into a pizza joint a few blocks from your place. I assume you got drinks at home?"

=I smile a bit=

Of course...I make sure to keep my supply topped up.

=I say this with a grin=

"Good." Dawn said. "Looks like we'll have a good time."

(Sofia)

=I can't help but chuckle a bit=

Indeed we shall.

=I say this with a knowing smile=

Returning the smile, Dawn manuevered through the streets. "And not every meeting will end in sex either. Anything focusednust on sex is bound to fall apart." She stated as she slowed down outside a pizza place. "You wanna get it or shall I?"

(Sofia)

I know, I know...

=I smile, honestly not blaming her=

It's your turn, my dear.

She smiled, climbing off the bike and going inside. A minute later she came out with a large pizza. "Sausage and pepperoni." She said, settling down onto her bike. She roared off.

(Sofia)

=I take a whiff, the smell making my mouth water=

Smells delicious

=I smile=

You know me too well.

"Ehe. I guess." She slowed to a stop outside Sofie's building. "Here we are." She slipped off the bike, carrying the pizza. "Lead the way."

(Sofia)

=I hop off, heading up to my apartment. As soon as we get up to my apartment, I open the door for Dawn=

I'll get the drinks.

=I smile=

You can go ahead and set the meal on the table.

Dawn set the pizza on the table, then kicked her shoes off and started taking her jacket and weapons off, putting them by the door before taking a seat at the table.
"Got any rootbeer?"

(Sofia)

=I go over to the fridge, checking out my stock=

Now where is it...ah, there we are...

Indeed I do.

=I smile=

Took me a bit to find it, though.

Dawn grinned, plucming it from Sofie's hand and kissing her cheek. "Thanks." She said, heading back to the table.

(Sofia)

=I blush a bit, smiling=

Not a problem.

=I pull a Coke from the fridge, taking it back to the table with me=

It's how I keep up with the my elders...that, and it's one that I have a particular preference for

Dawn took a drink as she startsd to eat.
"How have you been Sofie? I hope you haven't been getting into trouble." She stuck her tongue out at Sofie.

=I take a slice and bite into it, considering the thought=
