Nightfall: Chapter 3

=i walked into my "room" and plopped down on the bed next to Tria. I poked her in the side, just under the ribs=
Hey kiddo. You getting up?

The girl mews quietly, the poke bringing her to a semi-concious state. Pushing the headphones off, she wrapped her arms around Veni's waist, snuggling into her lap. "Five more minutes..."

=i chuckle and brush her hair=
Only if you let me lay down too. I had a rough night.

Tria sleeply sits up, yawning. "Hurry...I wanna sleep more."

(V)
=i lay down and stretch out on the cot, holding my arms out for Tria=
Too much sleep is bad for ya.

Tria falls into Veni's arms. "Don't care. More sleep."

(V)
=i chuckle and give her a little squeeze=
Okay, but only five more minutes. Then, I'm going to make you get up, even if I have to tickle you to do it.

"Nnnn...meanie..."
She snuggled against Veni, falling back asleep.

=i smiled and brushed her hair, waiting for a grand total of ten minutes, before tickling her lightly. I leaned and whispered to her=
Wakey wakey, sleepy head.

She cringed away. "Nnn....you said five..."

=i tickle and little bit more, keeping my fingers on her=
It's been ten.

She groaned, opening her eyes. "I'm awake..." she was barely containing laughter.

=i tickle her some more, a large grin on my face=
Sorry, what?

She tries to get away. "I'm awake!" She said louder.

=i laugh and pull her into a hug and tickle her some more=
You're awake?

"Yes ma'am." Tria said into Veni's chest blankly.

=i let go and smile=
Good. You have a fun night while I was out?

"I walked into a room full of vampires after my sister. No one died. It was strange."

=i raised an eyebrow=
You're going to have to elaborate there, sweetie.

"Dawn was hanging out with Vampires. I knocked and entered to make sure she didn't get killed. I got confused by the lack of violence."

You're sister was in a room with vampires, and no one was fighting? No one was trying to kill each other or anything?

Summer break. Three months with nothing to do. No job to worry about. No school to worry about. Not a care in the world. for every other student out there. I had training. hunting practice. Werewolf stuff. I had to teach myself everything. I had volumes and volumes of texts hidden in Central Park.

I left my apartment, most of my roomates were out and about, except Tony. He was taking a nap on the couch. Or at least he had his hat over his face. I had just put my hand on the doorknob when his voice scared the shit out of me. "where are you going?" it had been so quiet, that when he spoke I nearly yanked the doorknob from the socket.
"Oh fuck," I nearly screamed. He started laughing, I slid down the door to the floor. "Oh god. you scared me."

"Ha!"

"One guy was a rude ass. But nothing happened. It was confusing."

Yeah, well, guys tend to be that. And you're sure? There's wasn't like a subtle hostage type thing or the signs of immediate or residual fighting?

"From the lack of weapons drawn and slight hormonal signs from Dawn, nothing."
