Nightfall: Chapter 3

I look from all the different people speaking, before looking back down at the Newblood, smiling softly. "You control that, and you won't have to worry about anything. If you can harness the 'demon' inside you, you'll be able to be as close to normal as possible. But it wont come without you feeding more. You need to understand that feeing is vital to you now. And you'll need to learn the hard way if you want to control it."

All this... It made some sense, but it felt like all that sort of advancement from sitting scared feeding off of blood packs had just... Gone. I had to actually... Feed on people now... That sort of fear had become a reality.

"Okay..." I said, to both Seln and Soren.

I... I needed some fresh air, or something, just, I needed to get out of here for a while.

"I... I just need some fresh air..."

Maybe going out wasn't the best of ideas, but I wanted to.

Dawn? I think you should go with her.

Dawn got up, putting her shirt back on. "Good idea."
She got off the bed and stretched, then rubbed her neck where the two puncture marks still lingered.

"Okay..."

I stood up, still shaking slightly. My goal here was to go back to my apartement (a word I cannot spell), or well, shared one, and pick up some clothes. My, as you could say, 'roommate' wouldn't be in.

Dawn smiled kindly at her, grabbing her jacket on the way out. "Heading any place in particular?"

=i stayed silent and just stood to the side, watching patiently=

"Just my apartement, to pick up some clothes."

I began a sort of slow walk towards the door, still sort of shaking from well... Feeding... Off of Dawn...

Dawn put an arm around Alodie's shoulders. "Cold? Need my jacket?"

"I'm not cold... Just a bit shocked, that's all."

"At what?" She asked. "If it was my blood, I'm sorry. I guess it's the pizza." She said, grinning.

I walked out into the living room, taking a sniff of the cool air as it flowed in through the door as it opened, and shuddered softly. "It's getting late..."

Soren's a Primal. And we both know what happens to Primals at night.

Yeah, I know, I wanna know what his plan is.

I look at the two of you, and scratch my neck, letting out a soft breath. "I'm not sure. I doubt this place has the kind of facilities able to hold me for the night." I sigh and look at the floor. "And I'm too far from my normal 'sleeping' area..."

I smiled, slightly.

"I'm just shocked... At everything."

"I wish I could help you...but...all I can do is help train you." She sighed, but kept smiling. "I was shocked during my first revelation...but time brought understanding. You'll beat your inner demon. You just have to believe."

"Your first revelation...? What was it?"

Hopefully it wouldn't be too far of a walk, I was still pretty tired.

"My sister is a werewolf. She was bit some time ago. She's why I am a Nightbane. To stop more of this madness."

"Oh... I'm sorry..." It was just human nature, part of my nature, to be kind, caring. But I didn't know what to do about someone's sister becoming a Werewolf. Saying sorry was the best I could do.

Dawn's smile returned.
"Thanks...Alex. You're a pretty nice Vampire."

"Thanks."

I wondered... What classed someone as a 'nice' vampire? Was it different from being a 'nice' person?
