Nightfall: Chapter 2

"Cute."
She unlocks the car, locking the shotgun in the trunk. "Squeeze into the back. Anton can squeeze her in next to himself."
She got in and buckled up, waiting for the others to get in.

(S)
=i get in the back, letting Anton take the girl in the front seat. I buckle up=
All set back here. I'll give you direction to my house.

Dawn sighs. "Yeah yeah."
The car roared to life, and Dawn gave it the gas.

No, she did not give a fuck about speed limits or red lights.

(S)
=i tell her where to go as we go, the car screeching as we swerve around traffic, giving her turning directions well in advance to be safe. Eventually I tell her to stop at the house=

(Anton)

=I have the little girl squeezed next to me in the car, my excitement level high=

Damn, my one weakness, really fast cars...

=I look to the girl beside me, keeping my excitement pushed down, and then turn my head back to the road=

"Why me?"

I whispered it almost silently, looking straight into her eyes.

"Because I'm giving you this one chance to be the Alpha."

I lean in a little closer.

"That is what you want, isn't it?"

"Not particularly. Being an alpha isn't always the best way."

"So does this mean I win?"

"For now."

"Well I guess I get my prize then."

I lean down and kiss him on the lips.

I wrap my arms around her instinctively, pulling her closer.
It still felt... odd to me, but at the same time natural.

I run my fingers through his hair and break the kiss.

"Why don't we take this a little bit more comfy."

I look up at the bedroom and back down at Conner.

"Why not?"

I stand, taking her hand and walking to the bedroom.

I hated vampires, but here I was, willing to do anything for one.

Was it gone?

Or had it just taken control?

I couldn't feel it, but it was there. It would switch between there, no longer there, there, as if it was... Part of me. I didn't know. I didn't like it either. I closed my eyes, hoping that would help with my head.

=I got out of the car along with the others. I started to head down the steps, Anton taking the girl=
Do not touch, do not move, do not open anything in here. You may ask questions, but I may not answer what you want me to answer.

=I hop out of the car, carrying the new one with me=

Ahhh...feels like just yesterday I was doing this...

Fair enough...I need a place to stay anyways.

=I continue to carry the new one into the house=

Moving. Movement.

The ground was moving. Or, I was. The blurs weren't getting any better, and while my stomach no longer hurt as much, I felt sick. Not as in nervous sick, as in throw up sick.

Hopefully that wouldn't happen. My situation was bad enough.

=i lead us past the boxes and bags of things towards the back=
You may or may not stay here. This is my home, I'm just in temporary leave from it.

=I try and keep the girl upright, my patience feeling tried=

That... That did not feel good. My stomach felt empty, in the brief moments before I threw up onto either the floor... Or a blur, or something. My vision was worse than before, and my neck just felt numb now. But I did feel tired... Very tired...

=I quickly move out of the way, cursing in Slavic=

(Slavic)GODDAMMIT!...

=Even so, I still manage to keep a hold of her=

=i head into the refrigerator and grab out a few blood packs=
Set her down on the bed.
